Park City

Rich and I were really excited to go to Park City with friends this year! Grandma and Grandpa Gray watched our kids and Thursday morning we flew up. The Harns, Hannons, and Andersons were on the same flight as us, we got to the airport and the 8 of us and all our luggage crammed into a car which was not designed to hold quite that much stuff. We made it to Kim's grandparents though where we were able to borrow another car! The boys went back to the cabin while the girls hung out and went shopping. Along the way we met up with Stacey.
That night we explored downtown Park City and ate at a cute little pizza place. Then I had my first experience at the "cabin." Holy moly that place is AMAZING!!! So nice of Sean's parents to let us use it for a few days. I could seriously get lost in there.
On Friday everyone except Kim and I went skiing/snowboarding. They had a good time (except Janitsy! Poor thing). Kim and I ate good food and relaxed and hit up the outlets.
That night we went to the clubhouse for dinner. We went in the hot tub, then got ready for dinner in this really nice locker room that had every conceivable thing you could need. And snacks. Dinner was yummy!
Saturday we went snowmobiling. It was a first for me and Rich, I wasn't quire sure what to expect but we had a great time.

We had a couple machine issues at the beginning, but once that got straightened out we were good to go. It was SO PRETTY up there! And we had a lot of fun. The only down part was when we were speeding across a meadow and Rich and I hit a little dip where a creek was. The shop we rented the machines from warned us about this, they said if you're not careful you could break your back so the whole time I was flying off through the air that's what I was thinking about. Fortunately neither of us broke anything, but we were pretty sore later!

At one point Rich got REALLY stuck. Practically in a tree. We were at the the end of the line, I stopped to help him but no one else noticed for awhile. He just kept digging himself in deeper. After awhile Mike came back to help, and then Clint too and eventually we were able to get it out!

This is pretty much how we all felt by the end of the day :>)
That night we went to the Blue Iguana, which several people had heard great things about and were anxious to try. It was...not great. The service was horrible, the portions were TEENY (and not very good), but it did make a good story for later!
Clint got the "grande" burrito, if you eat the whole thing you get free dessert. He didn't have a problem with that!
Sunday we straightened up and watched the Martian and Everest in their theater room (which if I'm being honest was an incredible place. I want one in my house!). Then we headed back to the airport, we got to briefly stop by Temple Square. So pretty!
It was a really fun weekend with really fun people that I will remember for a long time!

Blue and Gold

Carson is so excited to be in Cub Scouts!!! He has been looking forward to this for a long time. Rich and I were out of town for the Blue and Gold dinner (BOO!) but Grandma and Grandpa Gray took the kids.

Brendan got his Bear, and Carson his Bobcat.

Carson's Party

We had a video game truck for Brendan's 8th birthday party, and Carson decided he wanted one too! Seriously it is the easiest party in the world :>) He had a great time!

They played in there for awhile, then we had pizza, cake and ice cream. Done.

Carson wanted a Jurassic World cake, complete with plastic dinosaurs. So that's what he got!

Can't believe this kid is 8! He is so smart but so stubborn, he will do something if he wants to but if he is not interested then good luck! He can be so sweet and affectionate, he always hugs me and tells me he loves me but the switch can flip quickly and then watch out! He is a good friend and brother, and kind and responsible. Love you buddy!

Valentine's Day

We did lots of cute heart hair around Valentine's Day, but I didn't take many pictures!
the girls did look cute though
For Valentine's dinner Mom and Bob came over, the kids made their own heart shaped pizzas (Brendan had to put green cheeto crumbs on his, so gross!) and we ate them by candlelight.

Monster Jam

Monster Jam happened to fall on Carson's birthday this year, so of course they had to go! My boys were in heaven.

While they were gone the girls and I met up with some friends at the roller rink. It was the first time my girls have gone, and I wasn't sure how they would do. Sabrina spent most of the time on the ground and wasn't a huge fan@
We did get some smiles out of her though! Especially when we hit up Sonic afterwards :>)

Brown Belts

We had to do make up testing (on Carson's birthday) because we had plans the day of the original test, but the boys did great!

Now they are brown belts, so proud of them!

Beach Day

I saw my old friend Kristen at Janine's wedding, that was the first time I had seen her since before kids I think. We have kids SO close in age (seriously, all my kids matched up to her kids within a few weeks of each other), we have mentioned through the years that they would probably get along great but they live far away and it never worked out. She was taking the kids down to the beach for president's weekend, so we drove down to meet her. Our kids were instant friends! And it was really great to hang out with her.

Growing up, our parents were great friends and we were ALWAYS at each other's houses. It was fun to see the next generation :>)

We sat in horrendous Friday holiday traffic to get home, but it was well worth it! When we got back, Mom and Bob took Carson to Farrell's for his birthday. I need to get those pictures on the computer as well but he ate a ridiculour amount of food and had a grand old time!
