Aprons

I love these matching aprons the girls and I have. Every time I'm baking something the girls insist we all wear them. They are quite the little "helpers" lol, we usually end up making a big mess and take twice as long but it is fun with them!
The biys usually join in too, They like to eat and know if they want a lick they better be helping, that's all the motivation they need ha ha!

Heart Warming

Sometimes it is hard to be a mom! Life is busy and kids are demanding and sometimes I feel like I'm just being pulled in a million directions at once. But then there are moments where I walk downstairs and see something like this.
or this. As much as they bicker and harass each other, they really do love each other. Moments like this make me get a little misty-eyed!!!

The Twins are FIVE!!!

It BLOWS MY MIND that my babies are 5. They are getting so grown up!!! It makes me sad!!! I love seeing the little people they are turning into though.
Sabrina
She is a sweet girl. She loves to cuddle and hug, and can talk your ear off. She's not super talkative in a group, but if you go somewhere with her one-on-one she won't top talking. It's pretty entertaining! She still loves Thor and all things princess. She loves school and is starting to learn to read. She loves to play with her brothers and sister, and is very good and being nice and giving Whitney what she wants when she pitches a fit (which happens. A LOT.).

Whitney
She is a girl who knows what she wants and will do what it takes to get it (often that involves taking it from her sister or crying until Sabrina gives it to her!). Every night before bed she insists that I give her 11 hugs, 11 bear hugs, 11 nose kisses, 11 kisses from me to her, and 11 kisses from her to me (it used to be 10 but she finangled it to 11, I kind of love it though). She is a big stinker at bedtime and will usually take an hour plus to settle down. She is also learning to read, and loving school!

I LOVE THESE GIRLS!!! There are so many times when they make me want to pull my hair out, but it's so fun to see the special relationship that twins have. They are literally together ALL THE TIME. It is so rare to see them playing separately. I have NEVER heard either of them say that they are bored, because they always have a friend with them.

I pulled the cakes together kind of last minute, not my finest work!!! Whitney wanted Cinderella...
and Sabrina wanted Maleficent.
About 2 seconds after I took this picture the Cinderella cake slid right off that cake plate and onto the table. Some minor surgery got it looking passable again :>) Since we didn't have a party we took it to soccer practice the night before their birthday and ate it with their teammates.
Their actual birthday was spent going to Brody's birthday party! It was a pretty great week for them though. They did get to have Dad come to their school for Patriot Day
And they always love presents :>) Happy birthday girlies!!!

Disneyland

The girls have been asking to go to Disneyland for quite awhile. It has been 2 1/2 years since we went last, I don't think they remembered much. Since it is a "non-birthday party year" for us Rich and I decided we would take the family to Disneyland to celebrate the girls turning 5! We made a whole trip out of it and stayed at the Disneyland hotel the night before. I've never been, it was nice, probably over priced, but we had a good time! The kids had no idea where we were going, but they were pretty stoked when we got there.

Since it was HOT we went to the hotel waterpark to play and cool off. It was actually a pretty cool area, the kids had a blast.

Later that night we walked around Downtown Disney and ate at the Rainforest Cafe. The kids had never been there and loved it.
Sabrina was feeling a little off and was pretty beat by the time we were done.
She completely passed out while we were walking back, good thing Rich is so strong :>)
The next day the kids were eager to get started!!!
First ride we went on was the Matterhorn and it made Sabrina cry. Then we went on a Small World which was more her speed :>)

It wasn't TOO crowded, which means the boys easily got picked for the Jedi show (which was the highlight of their day). Whitney got picked too but once she got up there she changed her mind and came right back down with us to watch. Brendan got to fight Darth Maul...
and so did Carson.
Then he got called back up to fight Darth Vader as well which he was super excited about!!!

This may be one of my favorite pictures of the day. No idea who that woman sitting behind me is, but she was having a good time!
I had made a reservation at Ariel's Grotto for a special birthday lunch with the girls, the line at Splash Mountain took a little longer than planned so we had to book it from Disneyland to the back of California Adventure. It was probably close to 100 degrees, Sabrina still didn't feel fantastic, and by the time we got there she was crying pretty good. But then we sat in a nice air conditioned room and had a LOT of glasses of water/soda/lemonade, add in all the princesses we got to meet and she was feeling a lot better! Not good enough to eat much however, I think she had 2-3 bites of her $25 kids plate. Awesome. My food was delicious though!
Toy Story Mania is one of our favorites!
We also finally got to go on the Cars ride, last time we were here the boys waited in line for an hour when it broke down. Now everyone was tall enough so we all went together. Also did Soaring Over California for the first time, and all the kids except Sabrina went on the Tower of Terror with me. The monorail has a stop close to the hotel, when we took it into the park they said if you are not at the station by 9:00 you are out of luck. We got there at 8:45 and was told they were already closed for the night, WHAT??? I did not think our kids would make the walk back, but somehow we did. It was a long and hot day, but we really did have a good time. Almost makes me think about getting passes, they are SO EXPENSIVE though!!! Maybe one day :>)
