Goof Ball

When I got out of the shower the kids were busting up and telling me to look at my phone. Brendan dressed up in the girls' Elsa costume (which went to his waist) and danced around (there was video as well), they all thought it was hilarious! Silly boy :>)

Drive In

We have talked about going to the drive in for YEARS, the closest one is a good half hour plus away and I wasn't sure how the kids would do that late so we have never tried it. My friend Niki organized a group outing to see Inside Out, and we were excited to go! Rich had to work but the kids and I headed out. It was only $11 for the 5 of us, score! We got there really early to set up our spot, then the kids played and we went to the nearby shopping center to get dinner and it was super fun. The kids did great in the movie, we're not quite ready to do the double feature yet but maybe in a few years :>) Can't wait to go back!

Sonic and the Duck Pond

Today was a busy day! We met some friends at chick-fil-a for lunch, which is right next to the boys' tae kwon do studio. We had a couple hours to kill before class, so we went to Sonic happy hour (always a hit!) and then the duck pond.
We got there, and were surprised to find signs all over the place saying to not feed the ducks. WHAT?!?!? That's not nearly as fun! So we kept our bread to ourselves and enjoyed sitting by the pond with our slushies.
Good times with these cute kids!

Father's Day

On Father's Day we went to Frank and Amy's ward, Rich's dad was there and our nephew Wyatt was being ordained an elder so it was a nice day with our family!

The kids made Rich cute ties and he wore them proudly :>)
Afterwards we had lunch at Frank's house and hung out with the cousins.

Grandpa got to have over half of his grandkids with him!
Rich is a great dad. He works so hard for our family and is always looking for ways to spend time with his kids. We love him so much!!!

New Pictures!!!

Last month some friends were doing a fund raiser for another friend with cancer, they did photography mini-sessions and donated all the proceeds. I have been a long time admirer of their work, they normally cost a lot more than I can afford but the mini sessions were right in my price range and I loved the idea of helping out my friend! So Erinn and Chris at White Haute Photography rock, this was a great thing they did and I LOVE the pictures! Normally my cousin does our family photos but last year she had a baby around the time we usually do them, so it was time for some updated pictures! These were "Mommy and Me" pictures for Mother's Day, but I really wish I would have signed up for the second day when Rich was there so we could have done the whole family. Oh well, I still love them :>)

Love these cute children of mine :>)

Cub Camp

Last year we missed Cub Day Camp because we were out of town, this year Brendan was super excited to go! And boy was it hot! The heat didn't slow the kids down much though and they had a blast. His favorite part was shooting bb guns :>)

I volunteered one day, I was lucky to get a spot in the first aid tent with some shade :>) Mostly we just saw kids who felt sick from the heat, nothing serious. Fun to see him having such a great time though!

Strawberry Farm

The last few years we have gone to the U-pick strawberry farm. This year they moved, and had all their strawberries in the ground instead of the hydroponic pots so it was a little different but the kids still enjoyed it! We went with the McDowells which made it all the more fun.

We found a deal online which made it not quite so ridiculously expensive, but I do think it's good for the kids to be able to see where food comes from and appreciate what people do to get it to us. And they are pretty good strawberries too!

We got a message from the school a few weeks ago that the district was having an educational day at Legoland, tickets could be purchased at a discounted rate and the kids could attend an educational class. My kids (and me!) were really excited! Brendan got to build cars that actually moved (through kinetic energy and solar power), Carson got to build rides and learn about how gears work, and the girls went to a "tall towers" class. This also meant we were running into friends all day which was lots of fun! My mom was able to come as well, and off we went. The weather was wonderful, a little on the cool side and perfect!
The new Lego Friends area is open, my girls thought it was awesome.

Sabrina is a little hit or miss on the rides. This may be my favorite picture from the day lol

The Death Star was a highlight!
Rich couldn't be there but we took a picture with the policeman to pretend like he was :>)
Such a good day, topped off by the fact that we stopped off at Vero's on the way home and I got another surf and turf burrito. Just as yummy the second time around :>)
