Bowling

One of the things on our bucket list for the summer was to go bowling, so off we went!

Not sure what is up with this pose, I think this girl is going to keep me on my toes :>)
Whitney was in a mood and spent a good chunk of time crying under the furniture :>)

 I love my family!

Fire House

When we were getting ready to move to our new house last year, I just assumed that the fire house down the street was operational. I realized it wasn't when I was talking to our insurance agent. I wondered if they were ever going to do anything with it, but yesterday they had the grand opening! The kids were super excited to see all the fire trucks.
They even had an old one from the 1920s out for the kids to climb on.
Brendan was the only one who was not afraid to stand by Sparky :>)
Home Depot was doing their craft day out there as well, so the kids made helicopters and bird houses.
The girls tried very hard to hammer their nails in :>)
It was a fun morning with our family!

We got to have another experience with the fire house this morning...while I was getting dressed for church, the house alarm went off. I wasn't sure what happened (it was disarmed, and none of the kids were by the panel), but I turned it off. I expected to get a call from the alarm company (they always call when the alarm goes off) but the call never came. About 15 minutes later we were walking out the door to church, and there was a fire truck sitting in front of our house. I wondered which of our neighbors had called them, then realized they were walking over towards ME. I apologized for the false alarm, then called the alarm company to figure out what happened. They said they received a panic signal from the key fob remote, and they automatically dispatch help for that. Great. That remote was in a certain drawer, and now I have no idea where it is (and my 2 year olds are being less than helpful on the subject). Hopefully we find it before they do :>)

Blueberry Farm

I have heard people talking about the blueberry farm for years. I don't really like blueberries, but it sounded fun so we finally made our way out there :>) Grandma and Grandpa Gray came with us, and we met up with a couple families from our ward so it was a lot of fun! The tractor was a big hit.

The kids had a lot of fun picking blueberries. It took the girls awhile to get the concept of picking the BLUE ones :>) Unlike the strawberry farm, it took them quite awhile to pick these. I think that made it a little more fun for them....it was like a treasure hunt!

Afterwards we stayed to watch the movie Brave. I still haven't seen the whole movie, and when we got to the little part I always seem to miss I had to take Whitney out to the car to change her diaper. That's how it goes :>) The boys had fun sitting with their friends.
and the girls liked sitting with their grandparents! They know Grandma will have her Diet Coke and stash of candy :>)
We didn't leave until almost 10, and my girls were WAY overtired by that point, but we still had a good time despite the temper tantrums. I am glad Grandma and Grandpa were with us :>)

Utah

My mother-in-law had planned to come down to California several times this summer, and she asked if she could take our boys back with her for awhile. I was a little nervous about it (11 days is a long time) but the boys were so excited we couldn't say no (I did kind of expect to have to make a last minute drive up there to pick them up though!). Turns out I was worried for nothing, they had a great time playing with their grandparents and cousins.

We sure did miss them back here though, the house felt strange with them gone!

Happy Father's Day!

Father's Day was a little strange this year with the boys up in Utah. We did try to show our daddy a lot of love though! The girls made these "#1 Dad" signs in nursery, we joked that for a gift they gave him the finger :>)

Rich works so hard for our family, and is such a wonderful father. We love him so much!!!

Baseball game

It was Mormon night at the local minor league team, so we went to the game with my mom and Bob. Sabrina kept asking to have her picture taken, Whitney wanted nothing to do with the camera :>)

She eventually warmed up (after she ate a boat load of candy!)
The Webbs sat behind us, and my girls always are happy to see Jennifer.
Their favorite part of the night was the ice cream though!
We made it about half way through the game, then left because the girls were completely melting down. We might wait until next year to try a game with them again :>)

Baby Party

The girls and I drove out to the main office for my work for our annual baby party. They saw Elmo as we were walking up, and got SO excited. Then we got near him and they wanted NOTHING to do with him. Every time we saw him they would shout, "Look Mommy! ELMO!" Then we would get closer and they would hide behind my legs :>) Finally they got brave enough to get close!
They also really liked the balloon guy, and loved their flowers (until they popped on the way home). It was a fun day with my girls!

Sisterly Love

A couple days ago, I walked downstairs to find Sabrina running out of the bathroom with no pants on. She informed me she just pooped. I told her to go back in so I could wipe her bottom, she said, "Whitney already did!" Ummm...not quite sure how to respond to that?

Love these outfits by the way...thanks Grandma Gray!

Feeding the Ducks

Today we went with some friends to happy hour at Sonic and the duck pond. The boys are out of town at grandma and Grandpa Gray's, so we are trying to get some fun stuff in with just the girls while they are out!
Lately, whenever you ask WHitney to smile she has been pulling this funny face :>)

I think this was the first time that the girls have fed ducks. The last time we went was awhile ago, and I think they were too afraid of the ducks to do anything. This time, they chased ducks around saying, "Hi duck!"

It was a fun afternoon with my girlies!

End of Baseball

Baseball is over! I think we all had a lot of fun this season, but I was ready for it to be over! Carson had a lot of fun on the Angels with Coach Dave. I do have to say, the team totally fizzled out by the end . The last few games there were only about 4 kids that showed up. That just meant that the kids that were there got to hit the ball more, and Carson didn't have a problem with it!

Brendan's team was great. It is helpful when you know so many of the players beforehand, a lot of these kids were friends before and they got along really well. They thought they were hot stuff when Rich brought eye black for them to wear!
These five boys were all in our ward at one time. Between the ward split and people moving, that is sadly not the case anymore :<( We love all of them!
We had the team party at our house. There was pizza and slip'n'slides. It was a little on the toasty side, but the kids had a blast!
Everyone was especially excited to get their trophy. Our team mom Melissa made an AWESOME banner, and she cut all of their individual baseballs out for them as well.
She got a great cake too!
It really was a fun team. Til next year (when hopefully my boys are on the same team and we only have one schedule!!!)
